Admission to Special Elective Tracks

The ISE department requires students to apply to the following two technical elective tracks:

Data Analytics & Optimization (four semesters to complete)
Supply Chain Management & Logistics (three semesters to complete)

Entry into these tracks is highly competitive, as there is only space for a limited number of students in the required courses. Students are permitted to apply to both tracks. If they are accepted into both, they will be required to choose one.

Data Analytics & Optimization

To be eligible to apply to this track, students must:

Be admitted to the ISE major or applying to the ISE major during the same term (this means students can apply to the major and this track in the same semester)
Have completed or be in-progress of completing MATH 2415

Application information

Students will be admitted based on EPHR, CPHR, personal statement, as well as performance in programming, math, and statistics courses.
Students must submit a one-page personal statement in response to the following prompt: “Why are you interested in pursuing the Data Analytics & Optimization track?”
The application for admission to this track starting Autumn 2019 is open until 1/25/19.

Supply Chain Management & Logistics

To be eligible to apply to this track, students must:

Be admitted to the ISE major or applying to the ISE major during the same term (this means students can apply to the major and this track in the same semester)
Have completed or be in-progress of completing MATH 2415
Have completed or be in-progress of completing ECON 2001.01 or ISE 2040

Application information

Students will be admitted based on EPHR, CPHR, personal statement, as well as performance in math, statistics, and economics courses.
Students must submit a one-page personal statement in response to the following prompt: “Why are you interested in pursuing the Supply Chain Management & Logistics track?”
