Frequently Asked Questions

  • How can I get BuckID access to a room or the building?

If you are a current ISE student you might already have access to the computer labs and building 24/7.  We try to automatically add access for all incoming students.  If you are having trouble getting in, you can request access to our building and computer labs which are for your usage 24/7.  This includes the Student Study Area (room 211) as well as the 3rd floor computer labs (rooms 351, 356, and 378).  Just stop by BE392 during normal business hours to fill out a form for getting access!

  • Where are the computer labs and when are they open? What is my computer lab login and password?

They are located on the 3rd floor of the Baker Systems Engineering building: 351, 356 , and 378. Most labs are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week but will require Buck-ID access during off hours (5pm – 8am) and on weekends.  This includes the Student Study Area (room 211). We try to automatically import all ISE students before the semester starts. Users must use their OSU username (lastname.#) and the password to login. Just send an e-mail to the IT helpdesk (etshelp@osu.edu) and they will assist you with getting access if you have any problems!

  • How many free prints do students receive each semester?

Students receive 2000 pages ($200.00 credits) free prints per semester.  One B&W page costs 10 cents to print, while one color page costs 30 cents. The color printer is located in room BE356.  We also print posters for your capstone classes or any other project posters.  The lead time to print poster is 7 days. If you need additional printing services or need additional prints please contact the IT helpdesk (etshelp@osu.edu).
