Graduate Program Funding

The ISE Department offers opportunities for funding as a Graduate Teaching Associate, a Graduate Research Associate or Fellowship.

Graduate Teaching Associate (GTA)

This position requires students to perform GTA duties 20 hours/week. It covers full tuition and provides a monthly stipend.

Students who have received admission from the ISE program and would like to be considered for GTA funding should contact Amy Shaw at shaw.229@osu.edu to indicate their interest in being considered for a GTA position.

Graduate Research Associate (GRA)

This position requires students to perform GRA duties 20 hours/week. It covers full tuition and provides a monthly stipend. Stipends vary depending on the research project.

Students who have received admission from the ISE program and would like to be considered for GRA funding should reach out to specific faculty that have similar research interests to see if they have funding available.

 

Fellowship Position

A program in Occupational Safety and Ergonomics is offered to students pursuing a master’s degree in the Department of Integrated Systems Engineering at OSU, to provide educational opportunities to engineering students interested in pursuing industrial, consulting, or academic careers in occupational safety and ergonomics, or related areas. A limited number of full-time students will also receive financial assistance (“traineeships”) through a grant from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).  For more information, visit this area of our website: https://u.osu.edu/safetyergotpg/
