Chuck Elgin

About

Mr. Elgin is a Private Investor whose investments include Global Renewable Energy (GRE).  GRE is currently pursuing the establishment of a new company to develop the island of La Gonave (one of the Haitian islands) called the La Gonave Development Authority (LGDA).  Once established, Mr. Elgin will be the Director of the LGDA Revenue and Risk Management Division. 

Mr. Elgin is also part owner of Global Apparel Alliance, LLC.  At Global Apparel Alliance, we offer a wide selection of quality men shirts. Our competitively priced In-Stock Non-Iron Dress shirt programs are available under the Cooper & Stewart and Thomas Dylan labels and sold only at better men's specialty stores.  Mr. Elgin is the primary Investor and Chief Financial Officer for the company. 

Prior to retirement, Charles Elgin was a Senior Manager in the Financial Services practice of BearingPoint.  He is an accomplished Information Technology executive with outstanding credentials and a proven track record.  He has over thirty years’ experience and combines expertise in finance, operations and computer integration to improve the effectiveness of business operations while delivering projects on time and managing to budget.

Prior to joining BearingPoint, Mr. Elgin was Senior Vice President and Technology Executive for the Bank of America’s Consumer Real Estate division.  In this role, Mr. Elgin was responsible for the Technology & Operations teams that support Consumer Real Estate including Technology Strategy & Architecture, Solutions Delivery, Technology Support, and Technology Risk Management. 

Prior to joining Bank of America, Mr. Elgin served as Managing Director and Chief Information officer for Citigroup Residential Lending.  In that role, he was responsible for the development, operation and support of all technology supporting CitiMortgage, CitiFinancial Mortgage, Citicorp Trust Bank and Chesapeake Appraisal and Settlement Services for Citigroup Residential Lending.

While at Citigroup, he led the consolidation and integration of 19 disparate business systems (13 origination and 6 servicing) – as well as the integration of technology operation/platforms from acquired companies – into common end-state systems.

Prior to joining Citigroup, Mr. Elgin served as the Director of Systems Development and Architecture at Chase Home Finance where he was responsible for the First Mortgage, Home Equity and Manufactured Housing product lines. 

While at Chase Home Finance, he managed the design and implementation of a new servicing technology platform called Quest.  Quest replaced the entire suite of servicing applications in approximately 16,000 workdays over a 16-month period.  The systems applications included General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Mortgage Servicing and Automated Workflow Management and Document Imaging in an integrated, cross-platform environment.

Mr. Elgin graduated from the Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering. Mr. Elgin is also a Certified Public Accountant and a Registered Professional Engineer.

Mr. Elgin is married to his wife Sharon of 37 years.  He is an active member of the Knights of Columbus where he is a Past Grand Knight and Church Director for the Knights of Columbus Council 10852 and Faithful Navigator of Assembly 780 for 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.  Mr. Elgin is very active with St. Matthew Catholic Church where he serves as both a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. 

Mr. Elgin's other activities include volunteering at the Charlotte Douglas airport USO on a weekly basis, serving as Treasurer for the Charlotte Buckeyes (the local Charlotte branch of the Ohio State Alumni Association) and chairing the Alumni Advisory Board for the Integrated Systems Engineering Department at the Ohio State University.
