Area of Interest
Professor Yi’s research interests are in the general area of precision engineering with focus in high volume optical fabrication, freeform and microoptics fabrication as well as micromachining processes for medical and biomedical device fabrication. His research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, the National Institute of Health, and several industrial sponsors. He is the recipient of an NSF CAREER award in 2006.
