ISE advisory board member Shubho Bhattacharya

Shubho Bhattacharya is an Associate Chief Engineer at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. in Marysville, Ohio. He has a Bachelor's and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and has 30 years of experience in the automotive industry. He is currently Co-Director of the Honda-Ohio State Partnership, which enables and advances the many engagement points between Honda and Ohio State. Shubho is also an adjunct associate professor in the ISE department.

Prior responsibilities that Shubho has had include improving automobile manufacturing processes, new automobile manufacturing plant design, environmental footprint reduction for manufacturing, managing manufacturing plant facilities/infra-structure, implementing development programs for engineers, leading collaborative industry-university research, and strategic planning.

Shubho’s years of work within the automobile industry have led to many achievements and spots among advisory boards. He is the inventor for 8 US and international patents, which are all assigned to Honda Motor Company. He is a co-author of 5 journal & conference publications, 3 of which are with Ohio State. In addition to his membership on the ISE advisory board, Shubho is also a member of the Industrial Advisory Board of the Electrical & Computer Engineering department at Ohio State, the Industry Advisory Board of EWI (Edison Welding Institute) and the Board of Trustees of the Ohio Wildlife Center.
